Poetry in April #Poem 20

Paper doll
Covered from head to toe
No mind of her own
Sit
Stand
Cry
Stretch
Obey
Thick veil of dictatorship
Crushing her under weight of norms
Love
But with strings attached
Watch
With silent eyes
Man
Turns
The key
Until the day
She opens her mouth
To speak
