If I were a baby again

This post has been published by me as a part of the Blog-a-Ton 4; the fourth edition of the online marathon of Bloggers; where we decide and we write. To be part of the next edition, visit and start following Blog-a-Ton.

If I were a baby again
I would crawl to a nearest IT home
The tricks of net, having learnt in womb
Would know the paths to a twitter zone

Would surf the net for branded sets
And shop for diapers on my own
Of pinks and greens or blues and
Browns, scented with perfumed rose

Would chat with babies of other world
Share cuddles, airs, coos, and burps
With fingers tracing on a screen
Would exchange messages of our love

Would form a group of baby gang
To stop the rhymes of silly tones
Who cares what Ba Ba Blacksheep sang
Would hum film tunes into our phones

So glad would I be in that infant mode
In fantasy world of fairies and gnome
Eat virtual meals and ice-cream cones
Playing games sans smashing all our bones

Even I thought of tackling the topic with a verse, but thank god, I didn't do it; it would surely be no match for this one...LOVELY :-)

  9. Absolutely FANTASTIC. In fact, even I wanted to compose an "inane" 4-line stanza for my post but could not think through even a line of rhyme.... :-) It's not an easy art to master, I see....
    Best of luck for Blog-a-Ton...

  22. It looks as if a child written this poem. very nice. I would recommend to replace Ba ba black sheep kind of boring rhymes with something innovative like urs. All the best.

  23. u r right Bharathi..it is the child in me who wrote it...

because Ba Ba Blackshep rhyme is boring that is why bolly tunes are preferred...
    Thank you so much :)

  24. Lol...The diaper line took the cake.
Considering the speed with which time has undersized the globe, the poem is apt, speaks for itself of a generation raring to go...
very well-written. I am lousy with rhyme...you really shine on this one :)
